Welcome

Pittwater is situated 45 minutes from the Central Business District of Sydney. The Northern Beaches covers an area of approximately 125km stretching from Palm Beach and Barrenjoey Headland in the north, to Narrabeen Lakes in the south. To the east stretches the horizon of the Pacific Ocean, and to the west the untoutched beauty of the Kurringai National Park.

The area is characterised by long stretches of open beaches, tranquil waterways, native bushlands, rugged headlands and costal vistas. Pittwater adjoins Ku-ring-gai National Park which hosts a network of 45 walking tracks and gives access to around 150 square km of bushland with lookouts, waterfalls and wildlife. There are also rich examples of aboriginal rock engravings.
